Shvetha Jaishankar was Femina Miss India International ’98 and runner-up at the Miss International pagent ’98 held in Tokyo. During her modelling career she did TV commercials for Dabur Vatika shampoo, Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, Asian Paints, Denim soap; walked the ramp for most of India’s top fashion designers and guest appeared on shows for Nat Geo, MTV and Star TV channels. She co-founded the highly successful and entertainment company Globosport and has worked with the top sports teams and sports stars in the world including the Mumbai Indians, Sania Mirza, Martina Navratilova and Martina Hingis.
Her foray into writing began with editing 20/20, the official magazine of the IPL, India’s best known sporting property. She wrote a national column for The Hindu newspaper called The Girls Guide. Her first book, Gorgeous : Eat Well, Look Great, published by Harper Collins, released in December 2016. Shvetha runs an NGO called A Lot of Dream trust which supports education, specifically high performing girls from low income backgrounds with college fees, materials and additional tuition classes. Shvetha holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. Gorgeous is nominated for the Gourmand International Cookbook Award 2018 and was one of Amazon India’s memorable book of 2016.
