Vivek Kaul was born and brought up in Ranchi. He did his graduation from St Xavier’s College, Ranchi and followed it up with an MBA from Symbiosis, Pune. After a few missteps, like many other confused souls, he landed up in journalism and found his true calling in reading, writing and being lazy.
He is the author of the Easy Money trilogy. The books deal with the history of money and banking, and the financial crisis of 2008. He has also written India’s Big Government—The Intrusive State and How It Is Hurting Us. He has just finished writing Bad Money, a book that deals with India’s banking crisis in
Kaul’s writing on economic and financial issues has appeared in leading Indian publications. Currently, he is a regular columnist for the Bangalore Mirror and the Deccan Herald, among other publications.
Kaul lives in Mumbai.
