Navin Weeraratne is a Sri Lankan science fiction writer, and author of ‘The Hundred Gram
Mission,’ the ‘Providence 71’ series, and ‘Planet 9’ (which has been read by astronomers
looking for Planet 9). He is one of the founders of Lanka Comic Con, and believes every
Third World country should launch an Edge-of-Space program using hydrogen balloons.
Thomas Manuel is an award-winning playwright and journalist. As a journalist, he was written for Lapham’s Quarterly, The Nib, The Wire, Nature Index, and the Hindu among others. His work includes everything from science writing to non-fiction comics. His play, Hamlet and Angad, won the Hindu Playwright Award in 2016. He has also worked on multiple tabletop roleplaying games including Orun, an afro-futurist space opera game.
