Gillian Wright is a writer and translator. Her translations of classic Hindi Fiction include Shrilal Shukla’s ‘Raag Darbari’, Rahi Mazoom Reza’s ‘Adha Gaon’ and ‘Middle India’, a selection of short stories by Bhisham Sahni. Her non-fiction books include the ‘Presidential Retreats of India’ and ‘The Darjeeling Tea Book’, and she has recently written her first children’s book based on a true story and called ‘Mishti the Mirzapuri Labrador’.
Nikhil Govind

Bio
Nikhil Govind is the Head of the Manipal Centre for Humanities, Manipal University. His doctoral work on Indian literature was from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of two books–Between Love and Freedom: The Revolutionary in the Hindi Novel (Routledge, 2014) and Inlays of Subjectivity: Affect and Action in Modern Indian Literature (Oxford, 2019). He writes widely in the media on literature and culture.
