Shilok Mukkati is Radio Jockey and script writer with Radioactive CR 90.4 Mhz where she hosts her award winning show Colourful Kamanabillu focused on the LGBTQIA Community.
Shilok is also a Kannada poet and short story writer and writes actively on her blog Abhuthapurna Aksharamalike and actively participates in Open Sky Slam, Poetry in the Park and Queer Poetry Slams. Her writing focuses on trans-identity, homosexuality and challenges hetero normative stereotypes.
Shilok took to writing as a result of her gender confusion, which eventually led her to the conclusion of who she is – she identifies herself as a transgender women.
