Bio

Raghu Palat is a leading writer on banking, finance and investments. He has been writing for major financial newspapers, magazines and journals for the last four decades and has 45 published books to his credit.

A banker, by profession, Palat began his writing career with the objective of simplifying taxation and investment for the common man. He has also penned numerous books on soft-skills for management executives. Several of his books have been best sellers and his book on ratio analysis was used as a reference manual by students at Wharton whereas his books on retail banking and corporate banking are used by several banks in this country at their training centres. He wrote a weekly column for Bombay Times on major business influencers and industrial magnates called Powwow which was later amalgamated into a book series.

With his background in banking and his writing experience Raghu was called upon to write limited edition coffee table books, for prestigious banks – The Union Bank of India (released by Shri Prithviraj Chauhan, the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra), The Central Bank of India (released by the then Finance Minister of India Pranab Mukherjee) and the The Bank of India (released by the President of India the late Abdul Kalam).
