Bio
Shekhar Pathak is a Himalayan traveler and historian. He has published a number of books, research papers and popular articles as well as edited 20 volumes of PAHAR. His recent work includes Chipko Movement: A People’s History based on his Hindi book Hari Bhari Ummeed, the essay collection Mata Himalaya, Pita Himalaya and the soon to be completed The Idea of Opening of Himalaya.
