Bio
Ashish Chandra Sen is a writer/author, theatre person, community media practitioner and educator with more than 30 years’ experience in media and development both at country and international levels. He is passionate about community media and has been involved with the community radio movement in India since its early days in the 1990s.
Editor of Community Radio News, a tri-annual journal of the UNESCO Chair on Community Media, Sen was earlier the President of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcaster, Asia Pacific regional board and continues to be actively associated with its work in the region. He is on the Advisory Board of the National School of Journalism.
He has recently co-authored with Hema Hattangady a corporate biography, Lift Off. He is currently working on his second book.
