Dr. Claus Heimes is the director of Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan in Bangalore/India.
Until recently, he was consul and director of the Department for Culture and Education in the German Consulate General in Shanghai. He has been an advisor to the secretary general of the Goethe-Institut and a business consultant. He has studied history, law, philosophy, international relations and political sciences in Göttingen, Amsterdam and Berlin and has a Ph.D. in political philosophy. Claus was born in Mönchengladbach, West Germany.
