Bio
Devangi Bhatt is a renowned name in modern Gujarati literature.
She has penned 9 novels and 1 short story collection which have been published by Navbharat Sahitya Mandir. In 2019, her novel Vasaansi Jirnani was awarded by the Gujarat Sahitya Akademi as the best novel of the year. The English translation of the same was published by Niyogi books in 2024 as The Many Lives of Pauloma Chattopadhyay. Devangi is a two-time recipient of the Darshak award and her work is currently taught as part of Bhavnagar University’s curriculum. Her work in theatre has been recognised by Indian National Theatre and the Gujarat Sangeet Natya Akademi.
