Bio
Devika Cariapa is an award-winning author who trained as an archaeologist and then found her calling writing historical non-fiction books for children.
Her book, India Through Archaeology: Excavating History was awarded the Hindu Young World-Goodbooks Award 2018 and the Sahitya Akademi’s Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2019. Her latest book, Uncle Nehru, Please send an Elephant! is a vibrant portrayal of how India’s first Prime Minister formed a bond with children all over the world through a unique diplomatic initiative.
