Dr Farah Adam Mukadam is a family physician at Narayana Hrudalaya, a mother of two and author of the book Newborns and New Moms.
The inspiration behind her book started from her own personal struggles with breastfeeding, newborn jaundice and her mental health after the birth of her first child. Her medical training did not prepare her for the reality of motherhood, she felt. And she wanted to empower other mothers with the stark reality of life after childbirth that no book prepares us with. 5 years of research and 3 years of writing this book later, her baby- Newborns and New Moms was published in this lockdown. Her book is empathetic, scientific and highly relatable for all moms. The quintessential guide for the millenial mom.
Her social media avatar, Momstein, is devoted to making mothers comfortable with their journeys and empowering them. She also will tickle your funny bone with her Bollywood parodies which come with a dose of a social message.
