Bio
Fathima Raliya is from Perne in Dakshina Kannada district. Her published works include Kadalannu Noodalu Hodavalu — a collection of essays, published by Aharanishi Prakashana; Odeyalarada Odapu — a collection of short stories, published by Sankathana Prakashana; Avala Kaalu Soladirali — a collection of poems, published by her own publishing house, Udugore Prakashana; and Chemo — a personal experience narrative, published by Jeerunde Books.
The awards she has received include the Mogaveera Literary Award, the Bendre Poetry Award, and the Sudha Essay Competition First Prize. Her book Kadalannu Noodalu Hodavalu received the Lankesh Award and Avva Award, as well as the Indira Datti Award from the Karnataka Sahitya Academy. Her story collection Odeyalarada Odapu received the Swabhimana Book Award. Her overall body of short stories has been honoured with the Shantadevi Kanavi Story Award.
