Bio

Indu Balachandran was Creative Head, JWT Chennai when she wrote her first best-selling book, “The Oops & Downs of Advertising”. Her award winning campaigns include Pepsi, Ponds, Unilever. She’s been published by the NewYorkTimes, and seven anthologies of short stories.
Indu’s romantic novel Runaway Writers was republished in UK as The Writers’ Retreat. Shortlisted at MAMI’s WordToScreen Contest, it’s now being optioned for TV.
As a travel writer/humour columnist, Indu’s writings appear in SundayHindu, ReadersDigest, LonelyPlanet, Firstpost. She currently writes a Sunday column on gender hilarities in Deccan Herald.
Indu’s love for kids and cooking up stories has led to her latest children’s Book ‘My Grandmother Can’t Cook!’ by Karadi Tales.
