Bio
Kavery Nambisan is a surgeon and novelist from Kodagu district, Karnataka. She has spent most of her surgical career in rural India and currently lives and works in Kodagu.
She has published six novels and two works of non-fiction. Many of her novels have been shortlisted for major awards. Her medical memoir A Luxury Called Health was published in 2021.
