Bio

Lav Bhargava lives life in many roles. In the political field he was former state general secretary of the Samajwadi Party, former member AICC, former chairman Uttar Pradesh Congress Protocol Department. A candidate for Lucknow mayoral election in 1993, he fought Assembly elections in Lucknow East constituency from the Samajwadi Party. He has also been a former patron of the Uttar Pradesh Bijli Mazdoor Sangathan. As a social activist he has been the chairman of the India International Youth Film Festival, chief trustee of the Meher Bhargava Foundation, ex-officio member of the U.P. State Film Development Corporation, former member RAC Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), president of the U.P.Film Chamber of commerce, former chairman of the Lucknow Literary Festival, founder-president of Lucknow First Society, and vice president of Parihar Trust. As an actor, Lav has been a part of films like Jaanisaar, and TV serials like Gulmohar West.
He is the author of A Life Less Extraordinary, a memoir.
