Bio
Madhuri Ramesh is a political ecologist who teaches at the Azim Premji University. She has written popular articles in magazines such as Current Conservation and The Bastion, as well as two nature-society books for children, published by Tara Books. Both books, ‘Walking is a Way of Knowing’ and ‘Speaking to an Elephant’ describe the worldviews and habits of the Kadar community who live in the forests of the Anamalai Hills. Apart from writing, she enjoys doing research i.e. wandering around and asking questions.
