The Story of the Ultimate Myth

Mansoor Khan

Bio

Mansoor Khan is the author of One: The Story of the Ultimate Myth (HarperCollins India). He wrote and directed Umberto, the first film to be shot and post-produced completely on video format. He directed Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1986), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Akele Hum Akele Tum and Josh.

Mansoor moved to Coonoor in 2003 to live on a 22-acre organic cheesemaking farm called Acres Wild. The aim is to be self-sustaining and organic.

He has also written The Third Curve – The End of Growth as we know it, which examines the corelation between the compulsions of economic growth and the energy limits imposed on us by Nature. The Third Curve unfolds the truth that perpetual growth is firstly impossible (reflected in the persistant economic collapse) and also a disease (witnessed in the plethora of side-effects of environmental degradation, such as forest depletion, species extinction, soil fertility loss, ground water crisis and above all climate change).
