N Manu Chakravarthy is a Professor of English and headed the department of English at NMKRV College, Bangalore. He’s a winner of the SWARNA KAMAL, the PRESIDENT’S GOLD MEDAL for film criticism, and the KARNATAKA SAHITYA ACADEMY AWARD for his book on cultural criticism. He has authored 14 books in Kannada and English on Cinema and Cultural Theory and has also edited the UR Ananthamurthy Omnibus and his book of essays, Rujuvathu, among his other works.
