Bio
A graduate in Business Management and a post graduate in Sociology, Melvyn is currently working as the Director Operations, Daijiworld Media Private Limited. He has experience working as a Quality Assurance Auditor in the Middle East for 15 years.
He is the founder of Kavita Trust, which has organized more than 200 programmes on poetry and published 32 books to date.
His published works include novella (1), poetry collections (6), translations (3), collections of essays (2), and edited works (6).
The major awards he has received include: (1) Smt. Vimala V Pai Vishwa Konkani Best Konkani Poetry Book Award (2016) for the Poetry Collection ‘Devi Ninkasi’ (2) Sahitya Akademi Award (2011) for the Poetry Collection ‘Prikriticho Paas’ (3) Dr. T M A Pai Foundation ‘Best Konkani Book Award – 2009’ for the book `Prikriticho Paas' (4) Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Honorary Award for Literature –2006.
