Moulya Swamy, Musthafa KH, Shridevi Kalasad with Vivek Shanbhag
Bio
Moulya Swamy is from Mysore. She has done her Master’s in English literature from the Central University of Karnataka.
She is currently serving as Assistant Professor at the University of Mysore and is also a research fellow at Davangere University. She works as a Linguist in an IT company.
She participated in the Dasara Yuva Kavi Goshti twice in 2007 and 2009 in Mysore. In the Kritya International Poetry Movement, she represented India on three occasions in 2021. She has read her poetry in “Padya Kaala”, a poetry recitation event in 2020 and 2022 at Ranga Shankara, Bangalore. She has also been active in amateur theatre
troupes at Rangayana, the theatre institute in Mysore.
Several of her poems and articles have been published in notable Kannada newspapers, magazines and online publications. She has received many awards including the following:
– Sanchaya Kavya Award in 2013
– Toto Poetry Award in 2015
– Janamitra State Poetry Award in 2019.
Her debut poetry collection “Summane Biddiruva BikkugaLu” (ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಬಿಕ್ಕುಗಳು) was published by the Kannada Book Authority in 2021 and has received the Dr. Dinakar Desai Poetry Award in 2022.
