Mugdha Kalra is an Indian media professional and content strategist with experience of over two decades in broadcast journalism. She specializes in business journalism, gender narratives and diversity, equity & inclusion. She spent 14 years in the live news rooms of Aaj Tak, Zee News, NDTV India and IBN7 doing the breakfast news show after which she switched to special programming with Network18.
She has been named by the BBC as one of the top 100 most inspiring and influential women in the world for the year 2021, alongside the likes of Malala Yousafzai, philanthropist and businesswoman Melinda French Gates and acclaimed Nigerian author and feminist icon Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. This recognition comes for her work as an inclusion activist. Her area of work is neurodiversity and she is co-founder of the movement ‘Not That Different’. She is a corporate trainer & writer on Diversity & Inclusion and among the first in the country foraying in the space of Disability Inclusion at the workplace. As a member of the Financial Literacy Council of Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, (WICCI), Mugdha has been curating content on financial freedom for women and collaborating with platforms like Shethepeople, Mentormyboard, Lean in and the Leapclub for women entrepreneurs.
