NA Mahamed Ismail is a former journalist who is now working in the world of entertainment television. Passionate about the digital media, his wide range of interests include literature and films. Ismail has edited three anthologies of essays by the celebrated author and Jnanpith awardee, UR Ananthamurthy, published by Ankita: Sadya mattu Shashwatha, Aru Dashakadha Aydha Barahagalu, Andhinindha Indhige. Besides, he has translated several articles, short stories and poems from English and Malayalam into Kannada. They were all published as independent pieces in the publications where he worked – Janavahini, Udayavani and Prajavani. He wrote a fortnightly column on ICT and Society in Prajavani for five years. His Kannada translation of American Indian leader Geronimo’s autobiography was published by Abhinava.
