Bio
An economist, Omkar Goswami secured his D.Phil (Ph.D) from Oxford in 1982. From then to 1996, he researched and taught at the Delhi School of Economics, Tufts, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Rutgers and the Indian Statistical Institute, and was a consultant to the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the OECD. After a period as the Editor of Business India, Omkar was Chief Economist at the Confederation of Indian Industry. Since 2004, he runs a corporate and economic consulting firm called CERG Advisory, and serves on the boards of some major listed companies. His passions are music, mountain walks, incessant reading, theatre and films.
