Bio
Poornima Sankar Kaushik is a bharatanatyam dancer with over 3 decades of experience in this field as a performer, choreographer and teacher. She has to her credit over 300 performances and has trained many students in her dance academy, Surya school of performing arts, who are performers today. She is the recipient of many awards and titles and the most significant of them are the “Bharatha Ratna” title from the ministry of culture, Government of Srilanka amongst others.
