Bio

Rajaram Tallur was formerly a journalist who specialized in the Healthcare sector. He started his career in 1989 at the Kannada daily Mungaru. He was the head of Udayavani.com (erstwhile southnexus.com), the first comprehensive Kannada web portal from 2000-2006.
He was the Editor of the first Kannada health supplement for a daily newspaper (Udayavani) – Arogyavani from 2001 till 2017.

Tallur runs a linguistic validations company in Udupi since 2007. He is a trustee of the Tallur Family Trust, which runs a school for specially abled children since 2007.

His publications include Nunnanna Betta (2017); Tallur LN (2018); Enidu Paurathva Kayide (2019); Duppattu (2020); Namde Kathe (2021); Covid Karidabbi (2022). Two
chapters of Duppattu are part of the BBM curriculum in Tumkur University, Karnataka.

The awards he has received include the Amma Award for Nunnannabetta (2019) and the Shivarama Karanth Puraskara (2020).
