L Romal M Singh aka Rōmal Lāisram is a 30-year-old, out-and-proud writer from Bangalore who also dabbles in theatre, dance and music. Currently a consultant editor with Arvind Limited in Ahmedabad and Bangalore; and an editor with Human Rights Law Network in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi – he is also well-known (much to his annoyance) as an LGBTQIA+ activist. He is the founder of QAM(I) – The Queer Arts Movement, India and Rainbow Kitty – a public funding initiative for the LGBTQIA+ community; while he volunteers actively with Solidarity Foundation – an LGBTQIA+ foundation that focuses on marginalized trans-communities and CSMR – The Coalition for Sex Workers’ Sexual and Sexuality Minorities’ Rights, Bangalore. He also has been a lifestyle journalist with 10+ years of experience in the fields of lifestyle reportage and publishing and continues to write for DNA Mumbai.
