Bio

Ruchi Shah is an award winning book illustrator and wall artist. An alumnus of IDC, IIT Bombay, she worked as a Senior Designer in Yahoo, before she chose to become an independent Artist in 2010. In 2012, she received the Charles Wallace Scholarship from the British Council to pursue a Masters in Design at the University of the Arts, London. Her art explores places, spaces, materials and stories of everyday life. She has illustrated more than 15 books that have been published multilingually. Some of her works include Our Incredible Cow, Cat in the Ghat, A Book is a Bee and I am so much more. She recently completed and published an ebook on Award winning Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Ruchi also facilitates art workshops across different regions of India and Uganda. She is the recipient of British Council’s Social Impact Award in 2018 for her body of work.
