Salma Dandin is from Dharwad district. She graduated from Ninasam Theatre Institute and the National School of Drama, New Delhi. She has worked as an actress with theatre groups, such as Janamanadata, Dhatri Rangasansthe, and Mysuru Rangayana, and as a director with Aadima Theatre Group.
