Bio
Born and educated in Maharashtra. Started wring poetry in Marathi from school days, later turned to writing short stories, novellas and novels.
Publications so far- Short story collections-14, Novels- 3, Non fictions-2. Many reprints by various publishers.
Conferred with many prestigious literary awards including Maharashtra State Awards and Maharashtra Foundation Award (USA) – Total –
13.
Some of the collections of Short stories and Novels translated into English, Hindi and Kannada. Also few stories into other languages including German. Tele serials made based on the novel and stories.
The central theme of writing is human relationships and the role of women who attempt to be assertive in their endeavours to discover the meaning of freedom, independence and self esteem.
Presently living in Bangalore after residing in many parts of the country as also elsewhere.
