Bio
Shridevi Kalasad is a poet, writer, and journalist who hails from Dharwad, Karnataka.
'Hãdãgada sãlugalu' (ಹಾಡಾಗದ ಸಾಲುಗಳು) is her first book. It is a collection of poems published by Ankita Pusthaka. 'Yunk Post' is her collection of short stories published by the esteemed Manohar Granthamala of Dharwad. She has been honoured with the Toto Runner-Up Award for her contribution to creative writing in Kannada.
She has a great interest in music and has been studying and practising Hindustani classical music since she was six years old. She has received the Vidwat degree in music. She has also taken part in hundreds of music concerts and composed music for plays and theatre productions.
With a Master's degree in Mass Communications and Journalism, she has been working as a journalist for the last 18 years in media and has experience working with print, electronic and digital media organizations. Currently, she is working at TV9 Kannada Digital.
