Sujatha Padmanabhan and Sangeetha Kadur
Bio
Sujatha Padmanabhan has authored many children’s books published by Kalpavriksh, Eklavya, SLC-IT and Pratham. Bumboo – the donkey who would not budge won her the “Hindu Young World-Goodbooks Award” in 2016, The Poop Book! was shortlisted for the Jarul award 2022 and A Rood for Norbu was shortlisted for the VoW Children’s Literature award 2025.
Sujatha works with Kalpavriksh, an environment NGO. She has been involved in developing locale-specific environment education programmes and resources for children and teachers. She currently co-coordinates publishing books for children.
Sujatha loves being outdoors, watching birds and other creatures, and spending time walking in forests and mountains.
