Sunanda Mehta - Bangalore Literature Festival (BLF)


Sunanda Mehta is the former Resident Editor of The Indian Express, Pune. With 30 years of experience in journalism, she was also  the first woman editor of a national English daily in the city. A Gold Medalist in History, she is a triple-graduate with a BA from Lady Shri Ram College Delhi, B. Ed from Delhi University and Bachelor of Journalism from Pune University.

At 25 she was one of the youngest editors in the country when she launched the Pune city magazine Citadel for Magna Publications. She then worked with The Indian Express for over 20 years. Her humorous short story was published by Penguin in their book 'India Smiles. She has been a Chevening fellow, presented a paper at the Warwick
University in UK, featured in an award-winning documentary made by a US team on changing India. One of her articles was recently made into a television film `RuBaru Roshini' produced by actor Aamir Khan.

The Extraordinary Life And Death Of Sunanda Pushkar is her first book.
