Bio
Tony Hughes-d’Aeth is Chair of Australian Literature at the University of Western Australia and Director of the Westerly Centre. His research explores literature and the environment, with books including Like Nothing on this Earth: A Literary History of the Wheatbelt (winner of the 2019 Walter McRae Russell Prize) and Paper Nation (winner of the Ernest Scott and WK Hancock prizes). He has written widely on Australian authors and leads the Westerly Research Group, focusing on the literatures and cultures of Australia, the Asia-Pacific, and the Indian Ocean Rim.
