Vishweshwar Bhat is a renowned journalist in Karnataka who edits and publishes the daily Vishwa Vani and the travel weekly Pravasi Prapancha. He had earlier worked as a journalist in Samyukta Karnataka and been the editor of Kannada Prabha, Vijaya Vani and other newspapers, as well as of Suvarna News TV channel. Bhat is widely travelled having visited about 90 countries. He writes extensively on cultural and political affairs, both national and international. Bhat is an avid hobbyist in arenas as diverse as natural history, photography and flying drones. His wife Suma Bhat leads the Vishwavani Prakashana who are publishers of the volume Karanthara Suliyalli.
