
Bio
Yashaswini Chandra has a PhD from SOAS University of London, and her research bridges history and art history. She is the author of The Tale of the Horse: A History of India on Horseback (Picador India, 2021), her debut book as a solo author. She previously co-edited Right of the Line: The President’s Bodyguard about the household cavalry of the Indian President. She is an affiliated fellow of the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), New Delhi.
