Rupesh Pai is a Mumbai-based entrepreneur, a veteran of the restaurant business since his teenage years, when he first began working at his father's Udupi restaurant Panchamrut. He is also the character on whom the hero of Chandrahas Choudhury's new work of fiction, Days of My China Dragon, is based.
