Pranjal Sharma is an economic analyst, advisor and columnist who focuses on technology, globalisation and media.
He has written, edited books and papers on entrepreneurship, business transformation and economic policy.
His last book Kranti Nation: India and The Fourth Industrial Revolution was the first to chronicle the role of emerging technologies in triggering transformative changes in Indian industry.
Pranjal served as a member on the Global Agenda Council at the World Economic Forum for eight years. He is now a member of WEF’s Expert Network.
In his career spanning 30 years, he has held leadership positions in media industry with organisations like Times of India, India Today Group, Business Standard, CNBC Network 18
and Bloomberg UTV.
Shekhar Sanyal is the Country Head and Director of Institution of Engineering and Technology – India.
He is an expert on strategy, performance and organisation turnaround. He leads over 1000 volunteers in South Asia to help impact areas like IoT, Future of Mobility and Future of work. He runs one of the largest think tank on IoT as well as the region’s most influential IoT conclave, the IoT India Congress. He believes in servant leadership as well as the might of platform thinking. Under his leadership, the IET in India has grown from 600 members to 10000 members. He also specialise in frugal innovation.
He enjoys a rich experience in varied and senior roles across leading organisations like Nortel, AchieveGlobal, the ABP group and Tata Infomedia.
Shekhar is frequently seen commenting on prominent Indian media platforms on important issues related to engineering education in India as well as on the growing movement of Internet of Things and Future of Work.
A graduate from Delhi University majoring in English literature, he also holds an MBA from the Institute of Management Studies.
