Bio
Carl Malamud is the founder of Public.Resource.Org, a U.S.-based NGO. He created the first radio station on the Internet in 1993 and is the author of 9 books, most recently Code Swaraj (co-authored with Sam Pitroda). Carl is a well-known advocate of open government and is credited with putting many important government databases online for free and open access by the public. His work in India includes curating the Hind Swaraj and Public Library of India collections. He is leading campaigns to make available all Indian Standards and for the advancement of access to scientific information.
Supriya Sankaran

Bio
Supriya is the founder of Vayam, a new initiative that seeks to act as an enabler for innovators and citizens to make our judicial system more accessible and effective. She is also the Director of Ashoka Innovators for the Public (India), the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs- men and women with innovative ideas to solve the worlds most urgent social problems. Over the last eight years at Ashoka, has supported the launch of over 100 social entrepreneurs, redesigned Ashoka’s Fellowship Support Program and co-created collaborative initiatives such as the Wellbeing Project. Prior to joining Ashoka, she was a Principal Associate at Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi where she led several capital market transactions. A graduate of NALSAR University of Law, she also enjoys dancing Bharatnatyam.
