Workshop

11:30 am and 4:00 pm
Ages: 5-9

You are my tulip, I am your cat

Aušra Kiudulaitė and Evelina Daciūte

How similar we are, how much we become each other when we are together?

These were the questions asked by Lithuanian illustrator Aušra Kiudulaitė and writer Evelina Daciūte, the pair behind the book A story about a cat and a tulip. Their first book The Fox on the Swing won the Batchelder Award in the US in 2019. During the workshop the author and the illustrator will reveal the secrets of the book and talk with children about their friendship. Right after that children will be able to create a special collage of their own.

In partnership with:

Children’s Voices

When given an opportunity, every child can express themselves. With this space, along with Bachpan Manao Badhte Jao and Bookosmia (smell of books) our focus is to celebrate childhood, the small joys, showcase creativity of children from across India and help those visiting the fest feel creative and confident.

We’re calling all children to be part of the Bachpan Manao Badhte Jao movement to make their unique voices heard! Pop over to our space to check out creative work- art, poems, stories and videos shared by children just like you from metros to small towns across the country, published by Bookosmia-India’s No.1 publisher ‘for kids,by kids’. Your voice matters!

Pick up an activity sheet with an interesting prompt and share your thoughts in the medium of your choice – art, words, speech or any other. Get your creative work stamped, get a certificate and have your work published.
