Vasant Shetty is a software professional and is part of Banavasi Balaga, a think tank operating from Bengaluru that focuses on Mother Tongue based education reforms, Linguistic reforms in Kannada, Kannada centric Consumer movement and Language Planning initiatives. Vasant is also a columnist with Udayavani Kannada daily where he writes a weekly column called “Kannada Jagattu” which primarily talks about languages, language movements, language reforms across the world and tries to juxtapose those learning’s with Kannada. Vasant is involved with few Language Planning projects in Kannada.
