From the Director - Bangalore Literature Festival (BLF)

Welcome to the Bangalore Literature Festival!

We wrapped up a very successful fifth edition of the Festival and we’ve already begun planning the next edition, scheduled for 28-29 October 2017.

Our Festival has grown and evolved over the years – we conceptualized it to be the flagship annual literature festival rooted in Bengaluru and it has evolved into one ‘Where India Comes to Celebrate Fine Writing’. We continue to add new and exciting programming each year, deepening and widening our reach as India’s largest independent and community funded literary conclave.

All this has been possible due to the generous financial support we have been receiving year after year from the Friends of the Festival and some of our other supports including the Govt. of Karnakata and we remain grateful for this. We are also grateful to the authors and our audience – both of whom are the reason we put this together each year, as also our event partners and volunteers who contribute to our success.

Ours is a continued journey of making Bengaluru the locus in the Indian literature scene, one that encourages more people to discover the joys of writing and reading and we look forward to having you with us on this path.
