From the Director - Bangalore Literature Festival (BLF)

Welcome to the Bangalore Literature Festival!

We have grown and evolved over the years, from when we conceptualized the Festival in 2012 to be the flagship annual literature festival rooted in Bengaluru. We believe it has evolved into one ‘Where India Comes to Celebrate Fine Writing’ and we continue to add new and exciting programming each year, deepening and widening our reach as India’s largest independent and community funded literary conclave.

All this has been possible due to the generous financial support we have been receiving year after year from the Friends of the Festival and some of our other supports including the Govt. of Karnataka and we remain grateful for this. We are also grateful to the authors and our audience – both of whom are the reason we put this together each year, as also our event partners and volunteers who contribute to our success.

Ours is a continued journey of making Bengaluru the locus in the Indian literature scene, one that encourages more people to discover the joys of writing and reading and we look forward to having you with us on this path.

The 8th Edition of the Bangalore Literature Festival is all set for 16-17 November 2019.  Join us then.
