This year two stellar musicians will regale you with their soulful music—on 26th September 2014 evening, Oscar Award nominated Carnatic musician Smt Bombay Jayashri Ramnath and on 27th September 2014, renowned Hindustani musician Smt Shubha Mudgal.

Bombay Jayashri

Bio
A Carnatic music vocalist and music composer, Bombay Jayashri has been groomed under the guidance of violin maestro Lalgudi G Jayaraman and T R Balamani. She wrote and sang Pi’s Lullaby – for Ang Lee’s film Life of Pi – which was nominated for the 2013 Oscars in the Best Original Song category. She has also composed music for films like Verukku Neer and Kerala Cafe. Her awards include the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for best female playback singer, the Nada Ratna award and many others.
Shubha Mudgal

Bio
A widely acclaimed singer, Shubha Mudgal has been a student, performer, teacher, composer and columnist for several decades. She has specialized in the Hindustani classical genres of khayal and thumri-dadra, and her involvement with popular Indian music and Indipop tracks has also been widely recognized. She is the recipient of several national and international awards for her musical accomplishments.
