Bio
Zai Whitaker has written twenty books including novels and collections of poetry, short stories and essays. She writes mostly on the environment and conservation, and indigenous people like the Irular and Jarawa. She has taught English, and been principal of two schools. She is also a co-founder of the Madras Crocodile Bank, of which she is now Managing Trustee.
