Bio
Jenny Pinto is a film maker, handpaper maker and sustainable lighting designer. She is also a writer, curator and nature lover. She started her career as a fim maker in Mumbai in the 80s and her interest in the environment, led her to start her own handpaper making studio in Bangalore. Using only agricultural and other waste material, she started a light design practice, Oorjaa (www.oorjaa.in). Her foray into waste deepened her interest in circularity and sustainable design. with her enduring belief that environment education must begin in schools, she finally put her experience and knowledge into a hybrid graphic novel, The Magical Everything, for middle and high schoolers on biodiveristy and climate change which she has self published and hopes to launch at this festival.
