
Bio
Indu Santhosh is a Bharatanatyam artist and founder of Vibhavana Foundation for performing arts, based in Bangalore. She is a senior disciple of Smt. Shobanaa Bhalchandra. She is currently mentored by Sri. Vaibhav Arekar. Indu is a graded artiste of Doordarsan, an empanelled artist of Spic Macay and holds an MFA degree in Bharatanatyam. She is a serious practitioner of Hata Yoga and was also done formative training in Mohiniattam. Indu has performed extensively as a soloist and as part of various ensemble works in India and abroad including for NMACC, TEDx, Anant festival Mumbai, Delhi international arts festival, Jharna festival Chennai, IYPT tour of the US, IDA and Ananya festival Bangalore, ICCR tour of India to name a few. Her performances have been well received and critics have appreciated her as a sensitive and thinking dancer. She believes that Natyam is a tool for holistic well being. And she strives to create works through serious practice and inquiry, there by find meaning and voice for her works in the contemporary context.
Indu imparts Bharatanatyam to several aspiring students through her brainchild Vibhavana Foundation based in New tippasandra, bangalore. The foundation is committed to imparting high-quality training in Bharatanatyam and allied disciplines and create platforms for artistic expression, cultural exchange and collaboration. Vibhavana Foundation hosts performing arts festivals, workshops, outreach programmes, and art appreciation sessions. As CSR initiative, the foundation has also conducted regular Bharatanatyam classes for government schools in collaboration with CKC Foundation.
