Bio
Karunya Baskar is a visual designer and artist from the vibrant chaos of Mumbai. She graduated from IDC, IIT Bombay in 2021 and has since created storybooks, editorials, animation films, and branding projects, with a strong focus on nature conservation. Currently, she works as a nature educator at Palluyir Trust in Chennai, and is experimenting with bringing nature to urban dwellers through visual narratives.
Karunya was part of a project supported by the Bengaluru Sustainability Forum’s Small Grants Programme. Her session at the festival will draw inspiration from a publication from this project, “There is Nothing There!”.
