S. R. Hiremath is an Indian environmental and anti-corruption activist. He is the founder president of the non profit Samaja Parivarthana Samudaya (Community for Social Change). He is best known for his relentless fight against the illegal mining mafia in Karnataka. His organization is the recipient of the highest environmental honour in India, the Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar.
