Bio

Abhiruchi Ganesh started with the book business in 1993. He published his first book two years later, and entered full-scale publishing in 1998. His publishing house, Abhiruchi Prakashan, was born out of his love of literature. He has made a valuable contribution to the Kannada book world by publishing more than 450 books, including literary, ideological, creative, and critical works.

Abhiruchi was the one that first published the complete works of Chaduranga. Recently, the complete writings of Baraguru Ramachandrappa have been published in 14 volumes, totaling 5,250 pages. He has the distinction of publishing the works of Devanuru, Kumvi, Banu Mushtaq, O.L.N, Nanjaraj Urs, Rajendra Chenni, Rupa Hassan, D.S. Nagabhushan, M.D.N, Rajiv Taranath, Krishnamurthy Hanuru, Nallathambi, and Keshava Malagi among others.

Abhiruchi published Banu Mushtaq’s complete works as Haseena and Other Stories. Twelve of its stories were translated into English under the title Heart Lamp and won the 2025 International Booker Prize. Abhiruchi Prakashan received the Best Publication Award from the Government of Karnataka, Kannada Book Authority for 2022.
