Bio
For A.T. Boyle, pandemic lockdowns have inspired a children’s book collaboration between Manchester and Moscow and new fiction for adults that will be aired at the festival. Her writing has been shortlisted by BBC Radio 4 and Mslexia, and projects include a Turkish-English book set in Istanbul, performance, community events and a textile exhibition. Alison advises on literature for Arts Council England and was previously an editor and publisher of books, magazines and online content in Oxford, Bath and London. She worked for five years with international awards for creative tech before returning to her birthplace in Northern England to be closer to her parents. Their recent deaths, one from Covid-19, have caused her to reflect on loss.
